Julie Marsh
Inside Space, Motorized Ipad track 2012
Julie builds robot cameras which allow the viewr to see areas of the space differently. Constructing camera motorized rigs to capture and create moving images could not be perceived by the human eyes. Less about 'viewing' and more about 'searching' and 'experiencing' a place.
Three-dimensional space is understood by what we see and sounds we hear. If these visuals sounds are manipulated and changed, then our perception of reality con be heightened or affected.

Watercolor installation, 2012
Water is the element that distinguishes my work, life that ends and regenerates itself.
The movement of the water on paper creates effects that are psychological and aesthetic, disturbing and fascinating.

Residency review:
"The Residence has been a very good experience. It helped me a lot in investigating my art and I had the chance to focus on my projects with a mayor attention on how I could present my work.
The creative process is for sure a very important part, but it is also worthy of attention the way an artist presents it. It is important to investigate which is the message he wants to give, how he wants to communicate his art, how he wants to present it to the public, and in this case every detail could not be underestimated.
During the residence I could get this kind of consciousness, acquiring a kind of perception on the way I could propose my work and on the way the other artists were proposing their work as well. For sure I need to work a bit more on developing this skills and I am glad I could learn a lot by doing it.

Annette and Kirsten are 2 experiences artists and they have a very critical thinking and observation skills. They help the artist to bring out their hidden potential. With their support and constant interaction they helped me a lot in let emerging this part. I felt more confident and I could give the best."
